USS Holder Association's 14th Annual Reunion

The shipmates of the ships named USS Holder DE401, DD819, and DDE819 visited Sarasota, Florida, staying at the Ramada Inn, for their 14th reunion.

Events of the 14th USS Holder Reunion

Friday, 25 Septemberber 1992

The reunion started early with over 30 people on Thursday.

Welcome Aboard! Hospitality room 0800.
This was an open day for sightseeing, fishing, golf, etc.

1830 The ship's banquet was held in the Ramada Inn banquet room (buffet style).

The annual meeting followed the banquet. During the meeting we heard a brief history of USS Holder from Lt. Edward Maki and an account of the German Air Force attack on DE-401 by LCDR Hal Friensehner.

Saturday, 26 September 1992

Hospitality room open 0700.

0830 Departed Ramada Inn for Busch Gardens to arrive back about 1800.

Sunday, 27 September 1992

Hospitality room was open for farewells.
