USS Holder Association's 16th Annual Reunion

The shipmates of the ships named USS Holder DE401, DD819, and DDE819 held their 16th reunion in Bloomington, Illinois at the Jumer's Chateau Hotel.

Saturday, 27 August 1994

Welcome Aboard! Hospitality room opened.

1800 Departed by bus to Colfax County Inn for dinner. Some of the restaurant's customers seemed surprised to see two busloads of us troop through to our reserved room.

Sunday, 28 August 1994

Hospitality room opened 0800.

0900 Buses departed for the riverboat cruise on the Casino Rock Island. This was an enjoyable cruise and we returned to the Chateau in the evening.

Monday, 29 August 1994

Hospitality room opened 0800.

This was a free day for sightseeing, etc.

During the afternoon we had group photos taken.

1900 Was dinner and Mystery Theater. This was good fun with shipmates and family doing the acting based on very little information about their characters.

Tuesday, 30 August 1994

Hospitality room opened 0800.

An open day with free time until 1500.

1500 We had our annual meeting.

1900 Annual Banquet time. We had a great banquet followed by dancing and our new traditional patriotic parade.
