USS Holder Association Reunion Package Rate:
$105 per night plus tax for single or double
This rate may be extended for three days prior to and three days following our reunion.
Breakfast (hot and or cold buffet!): $10 per person.
on-site lounge/café and restaurant overlooking river.
Parking: $10 a day with in out privilege (cheapest in downtown including city lot).
DOES NOT INCLUDE MOTORHOMES.
Reservation cutoff for this rate is: August 14, 2009.
You must make your own reservation.
Monday, September 14
River tour by boat from hotel dock, followed by bus to the Alamo, lunch on your own, bus to Tower of Americas Observation Deck overlooking majestic downtown San Antonio and 4D movie, guided bus tour of city.
Tuesday, September 15
Guided bus tour to Adm. Nimitz Pacific War Museum, lunch/shopping on your own in Fredericksburg.
Afternoon - Memorial Service at Museum followed by dedication of plaques honoring both USS Holder DE-401 and USS Holder DDE-819. Kodak photo opportunity and shopping at Lukenbach on way back to hotel.
Wednesday, September 16
Morning - Business Meeting - Association business and next reunion site.
Afternoon - on your own, suggest unique and very interesting Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Ranger Museum - 2 blocks away. Trolley from hotel to saloon/museum, back to Alamo area, or other parts of city is $1.10 per person.
Evening - Photos, Annual Banquet followed by light entertainment and famous raffle. Don't forget to bring or provide an item.
